Dear Church | Thyatira (Week 4)

July 19, 2026

Read: Revelation 2:18–29

Take time to pray and reflect on this passage. What stands out to you? What questions come to your mind?

  1. Jesus commends the church in Thyatira for their love, faith, service, perseverance, and growth. Which of those qualities do you see growing in your life right now, and which one needs the most attention?
  2. The description of Jesus with eyes of fire reminds us that He sees everything clearly. How does it encourage or challenge you to know that Jesus sees both your faithfulness and your struggles?
  3. The church in Thyatira was doing many good things but was tolerating false teaching. Why is it possible for a church or a Christian to be strong in some areas while compromising in others?
  4. What are some modern forms of idolatry that can subtly pull our hearts away from wholehearted devotion to Jesus?
  5. God’s patience is meant to lead people to repentance, not complacency. Have there been times when you confused God’s patience with His approval? What did you learn from that experience?
  6. Jesus calls His followers to “hold fast” until He returns. What pressures, distractions, or temptations make it difficult for believers to remain faithful today?
  7. The promise to overcomers is not merely a reward but Jesus Himself, the Morning Star. How does focusing on Christ as our greatest treasure help us persevere in faith and obedience?
