Care Ministries

We’re Here to Help

You’re Not Alone

No matter what challenges or hard times you face, you don’t have to face them alone. Your Grace family is here for you.

Benevolence Assistance

Need tangible short-term emergency assistance?

Grace can provide assistance to people in crisis or transition when they’ve exhausted all other possibilities of help from family, friends, and social service providers. Grace staff will facilitate the quickest possible solution for people facing an emergency.

No cash gifts are provided. Instead, Grace will disburse funds directly to recognized businesses on behalf of the person needing assistance.

How to Receive Assistance

Please complete a confidential for Benevolence Request FORM. One of our Benevolence Team members will be in touch with you as soon as possible.

Christ-Centered Care

When you need help navigating personal, lifestyle, or relational challenges, we can help.

Christian counseling will help you identify Gospel-centered responses to:

  • broken marital and family relationships
  • crippling grief, anger, or bitterness
  • discouragement and despair
  • parenting difficulties
  • loneliness

We’ll do our best to help you find a caring environment where you can safely discuss how to overcome issues blocking your sense of purpose, productivity, and joy.

Stephen Ministers

Stephen Ministers are congregation members trained to offer care to people who are hurting by providing a wide range of emotional and spiritual care. A Stephen Minister typically has one care receiver at a time and meets with that person once a week for about an hour for as long as needed.

Stephen ministers are also trained to determine what type of care a person needs. In some instances, a referral might be made to a biblical counselor (such as a pastor) or to a licensed clinical counselor.

To make time with a Stephen Minister, fill out this confidential FORM to get started. We promise to keep this information secure and use it only to provide the best care possible.

Professional Counseling

We can also refer you to a licensed professional from one of our partner organizations.

To learn more about getting referred to a licensed professional, please email Ed Krzyzek or call our office at 530-343-5528.

Grief Share

Grief Share is a 14-week structured participation group that uses video and small group discussions on various topics surrounding shared grief experiences related to the loss of loved ones. Grief Share runs twice each year, in spring and fall. Please check our Events page to register.
